Re: Relegation run-in (update)
I hear Moyes has been working on tactics without the ball for the visit of City?

Thinks are getting desperate wouldn't surprise me if the clueless Moyes has been working on Alan Latchley's "The Three MMM's" and the great "Escapini Defence" for this one, which consists of a ten man defensive unit who stand on each other's shoulders in the goal mouth, their backs to the opposing team, they just sit there and rely on rebounds.

Re: Relegation run-in (update)
Oh and Swansea.

They looked like they had turned the corned a few months ago, but have slowly turned to shit again, cant see then beating Bournemouth away next up, which makes the Southampton game massive, but win it and they will be safe, a draw isn’t enough but will fuck Southampton more than them, last game against Stoke is good for us as well, but could have all been decided by then.

WBA, Stoke, and between Southampton and Huddersfield for that last relegation spot

Re: Relegation run-in (update)
All a bit too late for WBA after getting new manager, yet another win against Newcastle this time, but fuck me Pardew is going to a legend for many years for there fans! LOL.

Stoke look totally fucked, draws is about all they can muster, as we well know…and they now need 2 wins from 2 games and hope the 4 above them including us get next to nothing.

Southampton could escape but need the 3 above them to get next to nothing as well, Everton away next is tough given they have won only once away from home this season, there next game however is Swansea, also away and whomever wins that will stay up IMO, a draw in that one suits us best.

Huddersfield I cant see getting anymore points, there next 2 games are Man City and then Chelsea away, they will get fuck all from them, Arsenal at home will be most likely Wengers last game in charge as the odds on the Europa final look bleak, the gunners will be well up for sending him off with a resounding win.

West Ham, 4 games and although there is a couple of very tough fixtures against Manchester teams, Leicester looked dog shit against Palace and have little to play for and Everton at home is winnable as well, so assuming we get fuck all against the Mancs, in one or both of the other fixtures we will pick up points, but I reckon we will get something at home against City or probably ManU, a draw.

Palace and Brighton have done enough, heres hoping for an unlikely win against City on Sunday and we will be as well, but can’t see us dropping even if we don’t given the games and form of those below us.

Re: Relegation run-in (update)
Our winnable games are those the manager picks the right team for, preferably with too many attacking players so that if it leads to a goal conceded we'll be four fucking nil up anyway....,🖖🏻⚒

Re: Relegation run-in (update)
I predict two draws against Leicester and Everton which should just about be enough. Anything against the two Manc clubs would be an unexpected bonus

properly looking forward to saturday. wouldn't mind a few results going against us just to liven things up a bit and get sullivan's rotten little ballsack pushing out a few beads of sweat.

Re: Relegation run-in (update)
Purely staving off the inevitable even if we stay up, the only thing these owners have got spot on running a football club is the yo-yo effect.

Re: Relegation run-in (update)
sad state of affairs that we are in this position, it's fucking shameful that we are hoping that the shit around us drop points here and there.

what's even worse is that the board seem to think that the performance of the manager is rewarded with a longer contract.

I love the way everyone thinks Brighton won't pick up another point. That's what was supposed to happen before they played Spurs at home.

I'll be backing them to beat Man Utd.

Basic math clearly not my strong point...

Southampton finishing on 33 points, with us three points above them.

Re: Relegation run-in (update)
Obviously picking results at the end of the season when some teams have nothing to play for in the league, others everything and a handful with European priorities means there will be some 'shock' results due to squad rotation, desire and a lack of etc.

Here's my speculative guess at results, leaving both Stoke and Southampton to be relegated... Well done 'Sparky'... two teams in a season, is that some sort of record?!

STOKE (current 29 pts, GD -33) Total pts: 31
Liverpool (A) L
Palace (H) D
Swansea (A) D

SOUTHAMPTON (current 29 pts, GD -20) Total pts: 34

HUDDERSFIELD (current 35 pts, GD -27) Total pts: 36

Arsenal (H) L

WEST HAM (current 35 pts, GD -21) Total pts: 36
Man C (H) L
Leicester (A) L
Man U (H) L
Everton (H) D

BRIGHTON (current 36 pts, GD -15) Total pts: 37
Burnley (A) D
Man U (H) L
Man C (A) L
Liverpool (A) L

SWANSEA (current 33 pts, GD -24) Total pts: 38
Chelsea (H) L
Bournemouth (A) D
Southampton (H) W
Stoke (H) D

PALACE (current 35 pts, GD -18) Total pts: 40
Leicester (H) D
Stoke (A) D
West Brom (H) W

I have us finishing 16th, 2 points and two places above relegation, only above Huddersfield on GD.

A very fragile state of affairs... I really hope the Walrus doesn't relegate us.... though marginally improbable it is still very possible...

Let's see just how wrong these turn out to be....

Re: Relegation run-in (update)
Brighton is the side Southampton and Stoke should target with their run in you can't see them picking up anymore points.

For Stoke to overtake Brighton, given the massive goal difference between the two sides,Stoke would have to win their last 3 games and Brighton pick up a point, or less.

Isn't going to happen.

As Southampton and Stoke both have to play Swansea, this is the team, they are more likely to overhaul, than Brighton.

Re: Relegation run-in (update)
I'd rather be in our position than Brightons because I feel we have 2 winnable games

I don't believe they have any game that I'd expect them to win

The only reason we won’t go down is because there are 3 or 4 teams shitter than us, not because we deserve to stay up.

Can't see us getting more than a point.Only the fact that teams below us have to play each other should make us safe but it could still be squeaky bum time.

We are fine... Stoke, Southampton and Swansea will all take points off each other. Huddersfield will be lucky to get another point.

I can see Allardyce relegating us for a second time. I said this when he took over at Everton.

Can't see us picking up any either, and they have a point more than us.
